You are standing in the clearing of a forest as the rustling of aspen leaves chuckle in your ear. You are standing on the sand of a hidden beach as the cool sand holds you steady. The stars are bright, and the Moon hangs impossibly huge. The world dances with life and gentle bioluminescence. There is light in the sky, on the ground, in the dead of night. And in the distance, a voice echos - the words of the sole other person in this place:
“This is Meek to Earth.”
Take a seat, get comfy, and enjoy poking around in the corners of my brain.
I have a lot of big, fun plans for this site, but for now it is still a major work in progress. If you're here at all, hello! And good job finding this place, since I'm not planning to show it off to people for a long time. How does it feel to be in on the ground floor? Do you feel like you're better than everyone else? Because you are, and you should.
In making this website, a big challenge I'm committing myself to is to code everything on my own. That means no templates and no shortcuts. I'm letting myself look at tutorials, for sure, and I also like going through the HTML for other sites I like to pick and choose little pieces of inspiration, but I'm really trying to keep big copy-pasting to a minimum. I feel like it hampers my learning if I allow myself to copy and paste an element I like without really taking the time to understand how it works. I don't think anyone is going to read this, so I'm really just writing it out for now as a promise to myself. I have a long road ahead of me, but that's part of the fun.
